Yesterday I working on a project that involved sending cross-domain requests (with POST data) using jQuery/Ajax. Being in my wrong mind, it took me 4 hours to remember that Ajax can’t send cross-domain requests (DOH!); it’s a restriction imposed by the browser.
So, I needed a proxy. Googling, I couldn’t find any thing that did what I wanted, which was to send a request to another server with post data intact. All I could find were ones that simply requested the file and returned it without sending the data. I then came up with this easy way to accomplish my task. ...[read more]
- New version of Standby Lock, MUCH more customizable
- New program, ColurPickr! (Coming)
- CSS Login page tutorial removed, until I finish Part 2.
Hello everyone! I’m just making this post to say that the CSS Tutorial Part 2 is almost done! I just have to check it for grammatical and code errors.
Yaaay!
I haven’t updated this blog in so long…Part 2 of the CSS tutorial needs to be finished. But tons of stuff got in my way…
- I’ve been working on a new flash game
- Setting up my new forums
- Out of town
- and other things…
But, if you’ll have patience with me, I’ll have Part 2 of the tutorial up, hopefully, before the week ends.
Sorry guys, I’ve been really busy of late and I haven’t had time to put the second part of the CSS tutorial up. 0_0
I’m ashamed to admit this, but sadly, I’m just discovering the awesomeness that is the Personas plugin for firefox. It’s pretty cool, and it allows you to theme firefox in intresting ways. If you use firefox, you should definitely try it. If you don’t use firefox, then I will hunt you down and annihilate you.
Unfortunately, due to Austin’s unavailability, the “Flashanims Music Searcher” project has been canceled.
The StanbyLock application functions by detection of the standby message – sent from Windows on preparation to standby. As a thought for the future development of SL, a possible better method of detection would be to detect not only the standby message, but as well the turn off of the laptop’s screen.
For this app, I’m goiing to collaborate with Austin Pray maker of Flashanims.com. He’s made a music searcher, and we’re planning to port it to the desktop. I’ll keep you guys updated!
